We were heartbroken to hear of the loss of our dear Erik, although we know that he is now in the hands of the Lord. I have always known him to be a polite, kind and gentle young man. I remember whenever I would visit his parents he would drop whatever he was doing just to greet me and talk, something we didn't see as often with kids his age. He would refer to me as his Uncle, though I was only a family friend. He always listened deeply to what you had to say, and would offer something well thought out in response. He was truly a deep thinking, respectful, caring man, and we will miss him greatly. Knowing the difficult road Erik travelled the last few years, it is inspiring to hear that he held on to Jesus' promises through it all, and a comfort to know that the Lord has taken away all of the suffering and pain. We will see him again. "You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?" Psalm 56:8 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 ~Harvey Weglarz and family
