Posts to the tribute of K. Michael Hambidge

I am so very sorry to learn about Michael's passing away just now. I knew him through the world of "zinc" and several academic interactions over the years. He was a giant in the field and always available to younger folks anywhere for advice and support. I recall from my first interludes with him some three decades ago that he was most patient and kind, and tolerant of basic naive questions. I learnt much from him and join you all in celebrating his life and work. My late husband, Galen, and I spent many Saturday evenings with friends listening to Michael's stories of his travels abroad and his attempts to improve diets in far-flung communities around the world. He was truly a dedicated physician and a wonderful friend.
