I met Ron about 1970 in Miami. We reconnected some years later and he convinced me to move to Marietta, GA where he lived at the time. He was a nice man, always smiling, and full of ideas. I’m sad to hear his last few years were so hard. Seems like he would have smiled through it, regardless, and wouldn’t want to worry anyone. Every so often, I’d look him up, just to know he was okay. This time, not so much. Hurts my heart.

I'm so sad to hear/see this! I worked with Ron for over 20 years, after he closed his business, I could not find him to talk with him and see how he was doing. Seeing this obituary on him has now made me know where he is. I miss talking with him on how wall beds work, why they make that noise and how to fix them. He was funny but yet to the point. He would send me a huge box of candy every 2-3 months to share with all my co-workers here at SICO. Once he visited us to do some training, I remember sitting in a restaurant to have breakfast with him and take him to the airport. He walked through the restaurant to sit down, and his pants fell to his feet, I screamed "Ron...pull up your pants"! We laughed so hard!!! I miss ya Ron!! Your friend Nikki Schmidt
