Obituary of Clifford Peters

Pete Peters (formerly Peterka) passed from this life on March 26, 2013 at his home. He was 89. He is survived by his loving wife, Gerrie Peters, his three daughters: Judy (Gerry) Chermak of Sedona, AZ, Jane (Don) Henderson of Southlake, TX and Jill (John) Cheline of Austin, TX; Also survived by his step-son Douglas (Cynthia) Wax of Parker, CO, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Agnes Peterka, his brother Orland Joseph Peterka and his step-daughter Cydney Wax. Pete was born in Cuba, KS and grew up in Manhattan, KS. He served in the United States Navy in World War II as a signalman on the USS Enterprise. After the war, he owned Peterka's Club Shop for Men in Manhattan, KS. The family is planning a private memorial service to be held in his favorite area on Buffalo Mountain, in Frisco, CO. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Shalom Cares Hospice, 14800 E. Belleview Dr, Aurora, CO 80015.
