Obituary of Rachel Eilene Worscheck
Rachel Eilene Worscheck, 38, went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 7, 2025. Rachel was born July 10, 1987, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from Woodland Park High School in 2005. She earned two Bachelor of Science degrees—one in Biology from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and another in Nursing from Platt College. She later obtained advanced certification as a Neuroscience Registered Nurse.
For more than a decade, Rachel devoted herself to caring for hundreds of patients, specializing in traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Her compassion, intelligence, and tireless work ethic touched countless lives.
She cherished her family and friends and often expressed her love in selecting and giving specially chosen gifts to them.
Travel was one of her greatest joys, though she preferred flights over road trips so she could begin the adventure as soon as possible. She lived in Italy from ages two to five, visited China in eighth grade with teachers and classmates, and celebrated high school graduation with a trip to Sweden alongside her best friend, Anna. In later years, she explored more of Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States.
An avid scuba diver and snorkeler, Rachel was enchanted by the underwater world—colorful fish, sharks, and sea turtles. She never tired of visiting the San Diego Birch and Monterey Bay Aquariums, where the octopus and jellyfish exhibits held special wonder for her.
Rachel found great joy in cooking and sharing meals with loved ones. She loved treating herself to manicures and had a passion for collecting new plants. She adored her dog, Doug, whom she loved with all her heart.
Rachel is survived by her parents, David and Shelly Worscheck; her sister, Sarah (Colin) Reisler, and nephew, Gino; her sister, Jeanette (Stephen) Wade; and her brother, Jonathan (Jessica) Worscheck. She was greatly loved by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Services for Rachel were held on January 17, 2026, at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado.
Memorial donations may be made in Rachel’s honor to Education Support: Rachel’s Touch. This fund supports Nepalese students attending nursing school.
