“J.J.” Franklin James Little Jr.

May 2, 1983 – August 15, 2026

J.J. Little, 43, of Commerce City, Colorado, died of natural causes at his home on August 15, 2026.

He was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1983 to Franklin James Little Sr. and Suzanne Jackson and was raised alongside his brothers and many cousins. He was raised Catholic and attended Kateri Indian Church, where he received both his First Communion and Confirmation alongside friends and family.

J.J. attended Adams City High School, where he enjoyed playing varsity football. He went on to work many jobs over the course of his life, but many knew him as the one who kept everyone safe at the bar @Cheers in Northglenn, Colorado.

J.J. was a friend to so many and will be deeply mourned by all who knew him. His joyous nature, infectious laughter, and ability to make those around him smile will be missed by us all.

J.J. was preceded in death by his father, Franklin James Little Sr.; his grandparents, Anita Jackson, Richard and Pearl Trujillo; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and members of his extended family.

He is survived by his wife, Heather; his mother, Suzi and stepfather Andrew; his three children, Adrian, Nevaeh, and Dakota; and his grandsons, James and Reign.

J.J.’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Four Winds American Indian Council, 201 W. 5th Ave., Denver, CO 80204.
