Obituary of Stanley Kurland
Stanley Kenneth Kurland M.D. 94 passed away in Hollywood Florida on August 27 th. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth (Levinson). He is survived by his daughter Sally Paist (Donald) of Denton TX his son Louis Kurland M.D. (Robbie) of Hollywood FL three granddaughters Pamela Kurland (David Marchick) of Chevy Chase MD Jennifer Turner (Steven) of Cooper City FL and Andrea Greebon (Robert) of Austin TX four great grandchildren Adam Brandon Hannah and Zachary and a loving companion Ruth Stark of Denver. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Bluma Wenner of Denver and Rancho Mirage CA and Harriet Wandel of Denver and numerous nieces and nephews. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado and practiced pathology in Denver where he helped establish the Metropolitan Pathologists for 38 years. He was chief of pathology at St. Anthony Hospital from 1945 to 1977 and was Chief of Staff and a member of the Board of Trustees. He was a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Dr. Kurland's great love was the game of golf. He was a low handicap golfer and won many tournaments at Green Gables Country Club. Memorial services will be held at 130pm Sunday Feldman Mortuary 1673 York Street.
