Obituary of Irwin William Engel
Irwin William Engel, (Bill), 73, passed away in his Aurora home with his loving family around him April 17, 2011. Born in Chicago and raised in Denver, Bill graduated from South High School in 1956 and received a football scholarship to the Colorado School of Mines where he also boxed and was a Golden Gloves Champion. After graduating in 1960, he moved to Los Angeles to work for Bethlehem Steel. In 1976, he founded a successful meat packing company that he divested in 1990 when he moved back to Denver with his family. He is preceded in death by his son Mark and is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Dana and Rachael and his sons Eric and Brad. Memorial services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, 10:00am, April 20 at Temple Sinai, 3509 S. Glencoe St., Denver, CO 80237. Private burial.
