If this is the Judith Ravdin who spent her childhood in Ogden Utah, then attended Rice University in the early 1970s, I would like to say something about her. Judith was beautiful in many ways. She was insightful and witty, particularly about her childhood. Despite being in Ogden, the family was observant enough tht her mother was willing to write to Los Angeles to get deliveries of kosher meat. What's more, though she often seemed deeply depressed she nevertheless maintained a workload that most would have had difficulty with, even in the absence of other concerns. We lost contact after I left town for graduate school. Still, I can offer this: my recollection of a lovely young woman looking out the window on wet winter days, sharing memories and reflections on her life so far, comments that are vivid to this day. I hope the things she told me have, over the years, been put to good use for others.
