I am so very sorry to learn about Michael's passing away just now. I knew him through the world of "zinc" and several academic interactions over the years. He was a giant in the field and always available to younger folks anywhere for advice and support. I recall from my first interludes with him some three decades ago that he was most patient and kind, and tolerant of basic naive questions. I learnt much from him and join you all in celebrating his life and work. May he rest in peace and may his memory and work live on, Amen
